If you want a place that will be dishonest and take you for every penny that you have, this is the place for you. I brought my car in for an issue with the car whining when it turns. I assumed it was most likely a power steering pump. I asked them to check out the car to see what was wrong and told them what I thought it MIGHT be. When I came to pick up my car, my rear view mirror was hanging off of the window. Strange that I wasn't made aware of this before I stepped in my car.. When I asked the guy what happened, he said the sun made it fall off! Ha! I asked him if they looked at my car and found any other issues with it, he said "I don't know, we didn't really look at the car". When I explained I came in not even knowing for sure what was wrong with the car and I expected them to look at the car first, he said he would have charged me an extra $54 on top of the $300 I just spent. What makes this even more messed up is when I left, my car is still whining. So whatever the problem is, they didn't fix it. There are a thousand mechanics out there... save your money for an honest company that won't take you for granted.
Adam, I'm sorry you feel this way, but I assure you, we wouldn't be in business this long (20+ yrs) if we were dishonest. You had called for a price on a power steering pump and then you had brought your vehicle in for it to be replaced, you did not ask for it to be checked out. We do charge to diagnose vehicles if you wanted it to be diagnosed, it does take time to figure out what the issues are. Yes your rear view mirror was hanging when you came to pick up your vehicle, it was not when we completed working on it 2 days ago. Again, I imagine the double sided tape that was used, instead of glue, to hold up your mirror failed in the 2, 90+ degree, days your vehicle was outside waiting for you to pick it up. I told you I would take care of it and order the glue even though we weren't at fault. When you came back for the mirror, at that time you did not say it was still whining. Your wife had called later and said it was and the problem wasn't fixed . Even though we didn't diagnose your vehicle, we did tell her we would look at, which she declined.
